We’ve all visited houses that have a whole-natural vibe. Truth be told, one feels very comfortable and happy spending time in such an interior. Have you ever wondered why and what it is that causes this effect? The secret lies within using natural materials. Spending time in nature makes us feel relaxed and careless, as well as extremely comfortable. This is the feeling people want to transfer to the inside of their own homes. Natural materials are the heart and soul of every interior. Without it, it’s just an empty, cold shell that is absolutely uninviting and even appalling. That is why we’re here to help you make your own house pleasant and cosy with all these warm materials. In that respect, here are some ways to introduce nature to the inside of your home.

Wood

The first and most mainstream material is wood. There are many pieces of furniture and things made of wood you can put in your home. You probably already have some. Nevertheless, floors made out of some kind of wood are usually a must when it comes to cosying up your place. There are many different kinds of wooden floors ranging from lower to higher quality, as well as levels of affordability. Wardrobes, shelves, tables and doors are also quite popular candidates for wooden furniture. This variety enables you to determine how much you want wood to be represented in your house.

Bamboo

Bamboo is a very elegant and sophisticated material and if you want to upscale your own place, it’s a great way to do it. Bamboo is known to be very durable and very decorative. It will bring a touch of Asia to your home and it’s a very pleasant sight for the eyes causing a feeling of serenity. It can be used as flooring, although many prefer having bamboo for their window treatments, as well as mere ornaments in the house. Adding a few more bamboo pots around the house will do the trick of connecting other natural elements together and creating harmony.

Wool and cotton

Another important aspect is the textile part of the furniture. It’s also a great area for introducing nature. Wool and cotton are excellent examples of natural fibres that would make your place much more beautiful and homey. Curtains, drapes, pillows, upholstery, as well as organic jute rug, will give your house the makeover it desperately needs. Once you have your indoor fabric made from natural fibre, you’ll be able to notice how much more inviting your furniture is than before. Your sofa and your beds will simply be calling you to snuggle up and get cosy.

Brick and stone

Bricks are excellent fireplace materials, for instance, or walls. It’s understandable that you won’t be willing to put up new walls for this redecorating process. However, you can just create a decoration that looks like a wall and is made of bricks simply as a space divider. They’re very showy and they may help you solve a problem of having a large, but insufficiently well used room. On the other hand, stones are often used as decorations. You can have them around plants or put them in a terrarium. They can also be used as simple shelf or table accessories.

Feathers

It may seem a bit out of the ordinary, but feathers can also brighten up the place. They are excellent decorations for someone a bit more bold and adventurous. For instance, feathers are used as chandelier and lamps decorations. They can also be on pillowcases or even drapes. If you can’t find such items in stores, you can do some work on your own and beautify your furniture. Just make sure you use heat-resistant glue when decorating light sources in order to keep the glue from melting.

Natural materials are always a good choice. You simply cannot go wrong when opting for them. Of course, you decide on the amount and the style. Our point of view is – the more, the merrier. Make your home look and feel like a natural resort. You can even have a small pond or a fountain in your living room. There are no limits, so let your imagination be free and start your redecorating mission. You’ll surely be amused by the results!
