During the 2025 UN Ocean Conference in Nice, France, policy makers, innovators, advocates, and community leaders came together to discuss transformation and solutions needed to accelerate action on the Sustainable Development Goals — especially Goal 14: Life Below Water.

The sessions brought together a powerful range of voices, innovations, and stories from across the globe — all focusing on conserving our ocean and securing a sustainable future for both people and the planet. From Antarctica’s climate frontline to small islands turning their resources into financial stability; from cutting-edge technologies employing AI and big data to policy innovations and community empowerment, this programme offers a comprehensive view of the growing momentum for ocean action. Scientists, innovators, financial experts, Indigenous leaders, youth, journalists, and policy makers came together to share their strategies, demonstrate game-changing tools, celebrate progress, and call for collective action — emphasizing the simple yet profound message: “No ocean, no life.”
