In the Sevilla Platform for Action (SPA), coalitions of countries and stakeholders are announcing 130 high-impact initiatives to implement the Compromiso de Sevilla – the outcome document of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4). The initiatives of the SPA will put in place a highly ambitious package of concrete actions to support the renewed global financing framework that world leaders are adopting in Sevilla.

In this special event, global leaders will launch the Sevilla Platform for Action and highlight some of its most high-profile initiatives. It will mark the beginning of a series of initiative announcements that will take place from 30 June to 3 July in the Initiatives Room (Pavilion 2) and the Press Briefing Room (Pavilion 3) at FIBES 1. These announcements will showcase a diverse set of voluntary initiatives – to raise resources, build developing country capacity, help address the sustainable development debt crisis, and take steps to improve the financing architecture – reflecting the ambition and global reach of the Sevilla Platform for Action.

FFD4, taking place in Sevilla, Spain from 30 June to 3 July 2025, represents a once-in-a-decade opportunity to mobilize finance at scale and reform the rules, placing people’s needs at the center.

Global leaders will endorse an ambitious and transformative outcome document, Compromiso de Sevilla. The outcome document presents a renewed financing framework that will deliver an SDG investment push with a focus on development impact, will help address the sustainable development debt crisis, and take forward much-needed reform of the international financial architecture. Both the conference and its outcome demonstrate the strength of the international community, coming together and delivering for people, planet and prosperity.

The Conference kicks off the implementation of the outcome document, signaling a new phase of collective action on financing for development including through the Sevilla Platform for Action, which shifts efforts from dialogue to delivery.
